ICICI Bank customers live in iMobile Pay for everyday UPI, bill pay, and card controls — then still face a cluttered inbox of ICICI transaction alerts, credit-card charge mails, and Amazon Pay / third-party UPI confirmations that all debit the same account. The money trail exists; it is just spread across app history and email threads that nobody reconciles weekly.
Glass Money reads supported ICICI alerts from your connected inbox and organizes account activity and card purchases alongside other banks and manual entries. Start with the alerts you have, compare against your own records, and add missing activity manually. Statement upload is not part of the current public beta.
Why ICICI + iMobile spends fall through the cracks
iMobile makes it easy to pay from ICICI, but in-app history is not a household budget. Credit-card spends on an ICICI card often get reviewed only when the bill arrives, while savings-account UPI has already drained the month’s buffer. People who “check iMobile sometimes” still cannot answer category questions like food delivery vs school fees.
Supported ICICI card-purchase formats provide an amount, card identifier and merchant; account alerts provide a separate activity source. Review the resulting categories and distinguish purchases from repayments when reconciling your month. A bill reminder alone is not proof of a new transaction.
Which ICICI Bank alerts Glass Money tracks
Glass Money connects to your inbox with read-only access and pulls transaction alerts from known ICICI Bank and card-issuer sender addresses — not your personal mail. Typical sources include:
- ICICI Bank account and debit-card transaction alert emails
- iMobile Pay and UPI payment confirmations delivered as bank alerts
- Supported ICICI credit-card purchase alerts; bill reminders are not new purchases
- Net-banking transfer confirmations when emailed by ICICI
Each extracted transaction feeds monthly and category totals so iMobile impulse spends stop disappearing into “miscellaneous”.
Tips for ICICI and iMobile email patterns
iMobile Pay and ICICI Internet Banking both expose notification settings. Prefer email transaction alerts for every account and card you want Glass Money to see.
- In iMobile, confirm alerts for account debits and UPI are enabled for your primary ICICI account and emailed to the inbox you will connect.
- ICICI credit cards often use separate alert preferences — turn on email for purchases if you only see SMS today.
- If you use ICICI for salary and a second bank for rent, keep both banks’ alerts in one inbox; Glass Money is designed to combine multiple Indian bank senders in one inbox workflow.
- Marketing and loan-offer mail from ICICI is not a transaction alert. Gmail filters for known alert subjects or senders keep your Bank Alerts label useful for spot-checks.
How Glass Money stays safe with your ICICI Bank mail
Glass Money uses Google's read-only inbox access (Gmail OAuth today). It cannot send, delete, or modify your mail, and it focuses on known Indian bank and card-issuer alert senders — not your personal conversations. It cannot move money, and you can revoke access from your Google account at any time. Full detail is on our privacy policy.
Most households use more than one bank. When alerts from ICICI Bank and your other institutions share the same inbox, they are extracted into one spending view with UPI spends and categorised monthly trends, so the full picture lives in one place.
ICICI Bank expense tracking — FAQ
Do I need to link iMobile Pay to Glass Money?
No. Glass Money does not integrate with iMobile as an app. It reads the ICICI bank and card alert emails that iMobile and Internet Banking already trigger in your inbox.
Can Glass Money see my ICICI credit card PIN or net-banking password?
No. Access is limited to Google’s read-only Gmail scope for known bank alert senders. Glass Money cannot send mail, and it never collects ICICI login credentials. See the privacy policy for the full scope description.
What about Amazon Pay UPI linked to ICICI?
The UPI debit still hits your ICICI account and typically generates a bank alert. Tracking those alerts captures the spend even when you paid from Amazon Pay rather than iMobile.
How is this different from checking iMobile history?
Glass Money brings supported ICICI alerts together with other banks and manual entries for a personal spending review. Declared-account coverage and missing-data visibility are private-beta capabilities. It does not provide a shared household workspace or guarantee complete bank history.
Built for Indian households, available in beta
Glass Money is available through limited beta access: automatic ICICI Bank expense tracking from alert emails, categories you can edit, monthly and per-bank trends, manual entries, and an AI chat over your own transactions. Statement upload is not available in the current public beta. Compare imported activity with your bank records before relying on a monthly total. Android is on Google Play; iOS remains invite-only while Google restricted-scope verification is in progress.
Not built yet, and we would rather say so: live Account Aggregator bank connections, investment or net-worth tracking, and a family or household view. The roadmap on the homepage keeps the full list in the open.
